Pine trees and lights!

David arrived today, after a very big walk with Mateus with a small surprise for me!

We both love Christmas and there was still a tree, or kind of a tree, missing in our house. Well, we have it now! In the middle of many many pine trees regrowing after the big fires, some need clearing, so this was perfect!

We used my family’s old Christmas decorations and they look amazing here!

Very happy to have our fairy lights out as well.

How is the building going?

Olá everyone!

We haven't been writing that much, because we stopped the construction already for almost a month.
As you know, we live in Quinta da Mizarela (Awakened Life Project), and our season started at the beginning of May. Since then, our attention has been fully focused in the volunteers and the work at the Quinta, including our course - it was a success!

It has been fantastic!

Stay tuned, because the construction re-started a while ago with the help of volunteers. Slowly, bit by bit! We are going to show everything!

For now...

A friend from Benfeita, dear Alice, gave us some old typical Portuguese tiles. We were so happy with them. They are beautiful and we are looking forward to see the result either in the bathroom or in the kitchen. David and me were bringing the wood inside so it can dry properly.

The wood treatment (pine tar resin) arrived from Germany.

See you soon!
With love,
Raquel & David

Presents for the Tiny house

As a way to say that they love what we are doing, some of our friends and family give us presents for the Tiny house.
I love the fact that the house is not up yet, and still we receive things to decorate it already.
Some are beautiful!
Here it is the last one that Katja gave to us: a set of lamps that run with batteries (3x AA). We didn't resist to use them in the BUS already.

Thank you Katja!
We love them; the beauty, cosyness and the romantic environment that brings (into the BUS for now and into the Tiny House in the future)!
