Pine trees and lights!

David arrived today, after a very big walk with Mateus with a small surprise for me!

We both love Christmas and there was still a tree, or kind of a tree, missing in our house. Well, we have it now! In the middle of many many pine trees regrowing after the big fires, some need clearing, so this was perfect!

We used my family’s old Christmas decorations and they look amazing here!

Very happy to have our fairy lights out as well.

Breakfast

We and the furry ones having breakfast can look like this sometimes!

New solar pannel

David finished adding a new solar pannel.

We needed it because we have a freezer and with the rainy days the power is not enough.

Let’s see how it is going to be when rain comes!

What is happening over here?

New plants?

Well,  or new plants but new pots!

The coffee cup got broken, so it’s perfect to make it as a pot in the kitchen and the other one just came out of the mother, from the bedroom, so I’m putting it in water to create roots and then put it in a pot to offer to a friend.

New storage place

For now, as our ruins are not rebuild yet, we need storage place. And for that, we are using the bathroom “wanna be” as a very organized storage place!

We used an old metal structure that we brought from my parents in Porto, and used it here to make some shelfs. It’s a perfect place to have things very organized, like bedding and towels for example!

Not allowed, or is it?

 And today it happened!

Mateus got into the sofa while we were out and Lara and Missanga were there!

I have a dream, I think I said it here before, that the cats and Mateus are good together. They don’t seem totally relaxed, but, hey, they are together sleeping in one space! Amazing!

But, unfortunately, the sofa is a non area for Mateus.

Let’s see, maybe next time the cats go to his bed. That would be awesome!

Vitral

Today David finished putting the wood edges around the vitral.

Finished! Right before the rain coming.

The entrance of the Tiny House, when the sun light goes through the vitral is quite magical! We are so blessed for our friend Sara and her present of glass art made with so much love. Definitely brought so much not only to the house but to our lives here!

Deixa a magia entrar janela dentro.
Sentes a liberdade?
Vives a liberdade?
.
“Ode aos pássaros luminosos que moram na janela da nossa Tiny House, nas escadas da entrada para o quarto em loft”

Blessed curtains

Yes, I know I have been talking a lot about curtains, but in all extreme sunny days I can’t not be grateful for all the curtains in our house!

It makes such a difference!

Baby plants

It’s so easy to grow and maintain these plants in the Tiny House! It’s the perfect environment!

I cut some leafs, put them in water and now it’s just waiting time until the roots grow (normally it takes only one day!). After I will put them in new pots with soil and more plants are going to beautify our amazing Tiny House!

Finished curtains

There were only missing the white inside curtains in the bedroom, and here they are now!

Very easily done, with the fabric that once belonged to dancers in our wedding day, I just created a folded edge so I could put a string made of rubber and metal (esticador) and attached it to the edges of the windows with a small metal attachment (camarão).

With this full moon, no light is entering in the bedroom. Now the windows are complete!
