Get ready for a big post! This is about the past - before moving in.

Olá everyone!

We would love to share these pictures from the time that we were working in the house before we moved in.

Enjoy:

Me and Isa baking and tasting some chocolate cookies, made for the first time in our woodburner with oven on top. They were delicious and we tested the oven that worked very good!

Drawing of one of the window frames with a typical arabic/morrocan style.

The tiny house with same hale!

 David finishing the floor.

The adventure of bringing the old kitchen that I grew up with from my parents house, 2h away from home. And, do you notice the inside of the jeep? Full! So full of things!

This is a shop in Côja, called Argocoja, where we bought the paint for the kitchen doors. We chose a blue one. And when you ask for a blue paint, the nightmare begins, because there isn't just one blue, there are duzens of blues! We just had to focus in one type of blue and always remembering the fabric that we had already for the kitchen curtains.

November of 2018 - the view from the caravan, with the moon up there!

I loved this work! I sanded the doors and the drawers and then painted with the blue paint. This was is so far. Next, I sanded it again and the final result is a vintage look. Love it!

We covered the kitchen, while waiting to work on it, because we had to leave it out. It didn't work very well, but we didn't have space to put in.

Took care of the woodburner. It survived the fire, but it got all rusty. We sanded it and then painted with a special paint for high temperatures. Looks like a new one!

A mess inside of the house. It was a building site after all! - notice that there is no floor yet (the last boards I mean).

As soon as we emptied the house, we were able to put the kitchen inside.

Bam! Lights were in! David did an amazing job with the electricity. This was a test, to see if the conection was ok, and it was. Happy moment for us.

Testing the tiles and you can see the paint - this is a black one that the big door in the kitchen is going to be painted with, so we can write the recipes or the menus of the week, or to just leave love notes :-).

Yes, we sat a lot of times just looking and dreaming.

The ligths in the kitchen! The lamps are simple old jam jars that were given to us.

 Building site...told you!

Another one at night - 16/11/2018

Oh, her in her beauty the next day... and David puting the "chaminé" in with Sasha, while me and Carole were working in the garden.

Yes, trying the woodburner out and the first thing that we cooked were sweet chestnuts.

And a big and delicious "omolete" on top.

This was happening during the building time: David was working hard online in something that he really loves - London Real.

Dear Olly came to help us, so him and David worked on the floor boards and in no time, they almost finished the floor!

I found this one when I was cleaning the stream and we saved it for our bedroom. Ricardo wprked on that and with olive burned trees. See the next pictures. And you know how all this went, because you have watched the tour video. Such an amazing part of the house...

Continuing the work with the kitchen doors and drawers.

Xmas happened in the UK last year! We had a lovelly time and a pause in building the Tiny House. (this is us under the famous mistletoe)

And the building re-starts!

Some fairy lights inside... so nice and cozy!

We started meditating in the Tiny House with the warm wood burner andwith the view to this amazing mountains and village Sardal.

Building site for a long time, but still so pleasent to be in. We wanted to show you all the aspects pf it. It was really challenging to keep it tidy, as we had to move things all the time from one place to the other.

The view from the future bedroom.

We spent the most time that we could in the Tiny House, meditating, exercising, cooking in the wood burner.

And having lunch on the floor!

Painting the kitchen cabinet after sanding it.

Final look at the kitchen drawers and doors.

And this is the beautiful lamp that we bought in our honeymoon, we didn't have the house already, but we knew it was going to be very tall :-).

Varnishing the floor and a look before moving in things.

Thank you Sasha, Olly, Carole, Ricardo and Teresa for your help.

We are willing to keep this blog more up to date that we have had!
So sorry for that!

A big hug with love,
Raquel
