Not yet, but a lot evolved!

Yes, the house is still in the same place, as things took longer than we expected and meanwhile we had the 10 day retreat here at the Quinta.
Just come with us and see what happened from the 9th until the 11th of August:

David proped up the walls for the moving, screwing some eucaliptus posts on them

This was the view on the 9th of August, on the way to the land to wait for Sr. Ângelo to arrive

This is the entrance "path wanna be" to the land and David walking through it

 Natural beauty at the entrance

And here is our man! Sr. Ângelo ready to start the day just digging it all out of the way!

The machine

 Starting to open the way

Gathering organic matter for future vegetable beds

Just seeing it work when we were inside of the nearest forest

And there it goes

 So much dust!

We kept taking pictures and filming to register everything

And the path was starting to be wide enough that the machine could turn the other way around and continue the work of literally breaking rock. Right ahead of the machine it0s the area where the Tiny house is going to be. wait until you see how it is now!
~

I could show more pictures of the machine doing it's work, but I am more interested in charing my experience with these 3 days.
It started on the 9th of August and it continued until the 11th. It was a mix of feelings, but at the end I was just with things as they were. Happy because we could enter in the land through a path and not through what it seemed to be a jungle! But that jungle was so beautiful and sacred and pure! Happy because we have a place to put the Tiny house and so sad because I saw some trees going down. Happy to see more of the land and sad because so many plants died. Happy because I discovered so many cristals there, but sad just because everything was so different.
There was a sensation of human beings invading the land and destroing the place just because we wanted things in a certain way.
I learned that things change and I know that Nature re-regenarate itself. It looks like destruction, but I know we are working together.
I know and I have in my experience that there is no separation between people and Nature, in fact people is Nature.
I rejoice with the change and Nature as well, as Nature has cycles and loves to work together with people.
This land has so much beauty and magic that we are very much looking forward to see and discover it. To see it with all of our senses. To be with it. To be it. To be with what wants to be created there.

Right now, rain is falling from the sky, reminding me that life is change and ever new.
That nothing is forever and yet spirit is always alive and free.

Tomorrow is another day and Sr. Ângelo is coming to finish the path and to finally move the house.
Again, we don't know how this is going to work, but what we know is that anything is possible! And that "the fat lady didn't sing yet"!

Lots of love
Raquel

Preparations to move the house

Yes, we are preparing everything for Tuesday!
8th is the day!
CORRECTION: we just called Sr. Ângelo and he only can make it on Wednesday! 9th at 8h30 the work begins!
______________________________________
David, Marco and Alex have been working for a couple of days in the house (last Thursday and Friday and over the weekend) so everything is ready to move: emptying the inside, finishing the last bits of the cladding, giving the final coat of wood treatment, taking the supports out and planning the move.
We still don't know how it is going to work, but the first thing that Sr. Ângelo is going to do is to open the path up there, at the entrance of the land, and then is a complete surprise. Even, opening the path we don't know how it is going to work, because some places have a big strong xisto rock!
So, cross your fingers and come with us in this new adventure.
For now, I just leave you with the pictures from the work that was done is these last 3 days:

View at the beginning of the day

 Marco happy to help

Planning the next tasks

Moving the scaffolding and a physical challenge: 500 push ups in one day!

Measuring the space and measuring the wood

Cutting the wood

Sanding the wood to take bits of mold

 Happy happy!

Taking the windows out so the trailer gets lighter

At the end of the day - wall nearlly done! Just one board missing!

The part of the wall that is missing the cladding

During the weekend, while I was working fot the weekend meditation retreat, David was giving a second coat of treatment in all the walls:

David took everything that was under the house

Meanwhile, David went to the land and stayed with it for a while, talking with her. Telling her that we are going there very soon to open the way, moving soil, rocks and plants; disturbing some of the wild life. It's not a gigantinc job, but it's good to warn the land that these things are going to happen.

I hope you liked the pictures and the progress!
Stay tuned!

With love,
Raquel
